CCN 2015 Poster INNOVATION Contest

Results

Eligibility

The contest is open to students, faculty and staff whose school is participating in CCN 2015. Individuals and schools can submit an unlimited number of posters. Posters in a series - similar theme, design, etc - should be submitted together as a single entry; there is limit of 6 posters per series.*

* So if you have more than 6 posters in your series, pick the best 6!

Categories

Best Outreach Poster
Posters that best communicate information about competition events, format, prizes, logistics, or the competition itself.

1st Place: $100.00 Amazon Gift Card
2nd Place: $50.00 Amazon Gift Card
3rd Place: $25.00 Amazon Gift Card

Posters will be judged on the following: 

  • Clarity
  • Creativity and uniqueness
  • Design quality

Best Behavior Change Poster
Posters that best utilize one or more of the Behavior Change Tools outlined in the CCN Marketing & Behavior Change Guide.

1st Place: $100.00 Amazon Gift Card
2nd Place: $50.00 Amazon Gift Card
3rd Place: $25.00 Amazon Gift Card

Posters will be judged on the following: 

  • Effective use of at least one Behavior Change Tool from the CCN Marketing & Behavior Change Guide (see pages 9-24 in particular)
  • Creativity and uniqueness
  • Design quality
  • Quality of accompanying explanation of which Behavior Change Tool(s) you used and why 

Most Popular by Public Vote (all posters eligible)
Posters that receive the most votes during the public voting period in April.

1st Place: $100.00 Amazon Gift Card
2nd Place: $50.00 Amazon Gift Card
3rd Place: $25.00 Amazon Gift Card

All posters, whether or not you choose to submit them to the Best Outreach or Best Behavior Change categories, will be entered into the Most Popular by Public Vote category. 

Selection Process

  1. Best Outreach Poster - Posters will be evaluated by marketing and design professionals from Lucid, USGBC, NWF, and ASE
  2. Best Behavior Change Poster - Posters will be evaluated by a panel of experts and professionals in the field of environmental decision-making (see Behavior Change Poster Contest Panel section below)
  3. Popular Vote - Most votes during the public voting period (April 20 - 30th, 2015)

Winners of the poster contest will be announced in early May 2015.

Recognition

The winning posters will be featured on the CCN website, and all contest entries, including non-winners, will be featured on the CCN Poster Inspiration Board after the contest closes! Poster submissions may also be used by Campus Conservation Nationals and its partners for education and promotional purposes.

Design Resources

We highly encourage poster designers to include one or more of the CCN 2015 superheroes in their poster! .JPG, .PNG, and .EPS files of each of the CCN 2015 superheroes can be downloaded on the Posters and Superheroes page. Also check out the CCN Poster Inspiration Board!

Timeline

April 9, 2015 – Posters Submissions are due
April 20, 2015 – Voting for Category 3 (most popular by public vote) begins
April 30, 2015 – Voting for Category 3 (most popular by public vote) closes
Early May 2015 – Poster contest winners announced

All Poster Contest prizes are sponsored by the National Wildlife Federation.
